INTESTINE
. It is active in the
metabolism
of compounds like pentoxyresorufin,
TESTOSTERONE

. This enzyme, encoded by CYP2B1 gene, also mediates the activation of
CYCLOPHOSPHAMIDE
and
IFOSFAMIDE
to
MUTAGENS.
